Serial video, ready for sync combination, appears as an output on pin 2. There are many use options. The line timing may be strobed into the chip by grounding pin 4 during the hold times. The ASCII char acter may be strobed into the chip by grounding pin 19. Lower case may be inhibited by making pin 18 positive. A positive input to pin 20 replaces the character with a cursor box.
