Some drawings of shrubs are from "Important Western Browse Plants" (Dayton 1931) and "Key to Important Woody Plants of Eastern Oregon and Washington" (Hayes and Garrison 1960). Six drawings of willows (Salix), species number 25, 26, 31, 32, 33, and 43, are from "The Willows of Alaska'' (Coville 1901). Twenty-two drawings are from "Vascular Plants of the Pacific Northwest" by C. W. Thompson (1955-69). These are species number 28, 29, 35, 37, 39, 56, 57, 58, 60, 61, 62, 65, 74, 76, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 87, 88, and 94.
